Lo mein with chili and tahini dressing

Double or triple the ingredients and save it for other lo mein (tossed noodles) recipes.

Serves 1

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp Sichuan chili oil
  • 1 tsp dark rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • White pepper powder
  • Toasted sesame seeds or Sichuan peppercorns, fresh coriander, and spring onion for garnish.

Recipe Preparation

Mix all ingredients well in a small bowl.
 
Boil lo mein for 5 minutes (or follow directions for the type of noodles you are using).
 
Drain noodles and run cold water over them for 1 minute. Put noodles in a medium mixing bowl.
 
Toss noodles with dressing.
 
Serve with toasted sesame seeds, toasted ground sichuan peppercorns, fresh coriander, and spring onion.
