Universal Butter

A versatile butter which you can spread on your fresh bread, knäckebröd or toss in pasta for a simple meal. To make it vegan, simply swap cow’s butter to vegan.


  • 50g unsalted (vegan) butter, softened 
  • 1 heap tablespoons of dried dulse, ulva and sugar kelp flakes each
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt
  • Chili flakes (optional)

Recipe Preparation

In a small bowl mixed softened butter with dried seaweed and sesame oil. Sprinkle sesame seeds, chili flakes if using, and flaky sea salt before serving.

Butter can be store covered and refrigerated for 3 days.
